There are a TON of things you need to get as far as you can possibly go as a professional online writer/blogger. I’ve been in the business since 2006, and no, this website is not my first rodeo.
What qualifies me to recommend resources? I co-founded a blog I still work on as a full-partner that receives more than 1M unique visitors each month. That blog is my job. This blog is my side project. So when I recommend anything below, it’s because I’ve already used it and trusted it to deliver results.
Web Hosting for Sites Driving Less than 75K Monthly Uniques
For anyone driving less than 100K monthly visitors to their site, my highest hosting recommendation goes to SiteGround.
I’ve used HostGator, DreamHost, Pagely, and BlueHost. BlueHost is terrible. Never use it. Pagely is good, but too expensive for anyone not already earning income off their website. DreamHost worked great for me for years, but was the absolute worst formatting-wise when the time came to export and migrate to a different hosting company. HostGator was my former go-to recommendation, but SiteGround blows them out of the water, so I’m giving you my best up-to-date recommendation here. Go with SiteGround.com.
